Random
This post is really about nothing. Just felt like sharing some pictures I took over the past month or so. While doing so, you get a glimpse into my life.
Leos BBQ (filipino restaurant) Leo's BBQ and I had to be the only one that didn't order the bbq, who does that? But I was pretty impressed, you see I am not a huge fan of Filipino food so I was sort of hesitant. The chicken adobo was very good but the inside of the lumpia was just ok.
Sometimes my family likes to have breakfast for dinner, spice it up a bit. We had pancakes, bacon and sausages. It was soooooooooo good. My mom insisted we also have the "real" maple syrup from Vermont or wherever real syrup comes from.
I am on the hunt for the Wet n Wild matte palettes and came across this poor soul of a palette. I feel bad for the person who doesn't realize there is something terribly wrong with this palette.Just to remind you what this palette is suppose to look like.
While looking for the Palettes at RiteAid (palettes only sold in Walgreens) I came across this display for the nail polishes by JulieG (youtube guru). I didn't purchase any but I thought it was cool they were selling it.

Driving into a storm (turned out to be nothing). It was crazy how one side was clear and the other side was covered by dark clouds.
I thought this was so funny.

Chipotle
Chipotle recently started serving brown rice as an option. I won't go on and on about how much I love Chipotle. I actually wanted to share this photo with you of my Steak Burrito with Brown Rice. It was absolutely delicious.

Nails of the Week
This has got to be one of my favorite red nail polishes of all time, Red my Fortune Cookie. It's bright and fun. I also was testing out some Milani Glitter polishes and they are awesome. I first applied gems (2 coats) and then Disco Lights (1 coat). The other nails have 2 coats of the red polish and then everything got coated with the Revlon top coat.

Revlon's Carbonite (Dupe for Chanel's Graphite)
I was finally able to get my hands on Revlon's Carbonite. I had been searching high and low since finding out that it was a dupe for Chanel's Graphite. I LOVE Revlon's nail polishes although I know some people haven't had the best luck with them. My favorite nail polishes come from Revlon like Minted and Smokey Canvas (a new color).
Now I can't really comment on the Chanel version because I don't have it. I probably never will because it's so expensive, maybe one day :)
I will say though that from looking at the swatches online the polishes are very similar.
I really like this color and in the pictures below my nails were painted with one coat. Two coats makes it even better. I will definitely advise you to put a top coat on. I didn't and my nails chipped right away.

Target Beauty Bag- Free Samples
I may sound like a cheapo but I sign up for free sample websites and
newsletters. Most of it's junk but I find treasures like this free
goodie bag of samples from Target!!
This is actually the 2nd Target Beauty Bag I have received except the first goodie bag had actually mini bottles of things. This time around, everything was in a regular sample packaging. But I am not complaining. I also looked at other blogs and have seen people get different things.
The only product I have tried before receiving this sample bag was the Pond's Evening wipes. Everything else I have never heard of before or tried. I am most excited about the Loreal Youth Serum and John Freida Full Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. Also the bag it comes in is sooooo adorable! Cute small make up bag to hold your MVM (most valuable makeup, LOL)
So what was included in my goodie bag:
Burt's Bees, Radiance Daily Lotion
Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes
John Frieda's Full Body Repair
Garnier' Fructis Fortifying
Tresemme's Naturals Nourishing Moisture
L'oreal's Youth Code
Coupon Book

peel it off like glue
Remember when you were a kid and you spread glue on your palms and waited and waited and waited until you couldn't wait anymore to peel that sucker off.
You are probably wondering where I am going with this, well, I have found the grownup version. It is called Freeman's Freeman Facial Peel-Off Mask, Cucumber and it's a new product to me anyway. I have been searching for a peeling mask for the longest time and while I am not sure this product actually did anything, it was so much fun when it came time to peeling.
Product info and Review: around $4.00 at Bed Bath and Beyond.
I have never tried Freeman's masks or face care products so I didn't really have any expectations except of course that I prayed it would be peelable. Putting the mask on was a bit tricky because it's clear and I wasn't sure how thick or thin the layer should be. My face felt instantly cooler which was nice ( I bet on a hot summer day, it would be awesome) on the face but drying took forever and my face was itcy from the mask dripping down it- I must recommend you lay down for about 10-15 mins. And you have to make sure not to get any on your hair (hairline, eyebrows, etc) because peeling rips the hair out to be matter of fact.
Fun fact- my b/f did this with me which made it more fun. We looked ridunculous.
Enjoy but I have to warn you, it's not a pretty sight. There you have been warned.
