I titled this post Buried Treasure because of two reasons.
One- I found this purse at a flea market in FL. It was a decent type flea market with things you would actually want to buy. I saw the purse by it's lonesome and loved it instantly. I did notice the straps were fairly worn (makes sense, it's a cute bag) and would need to be replaced. That's a pattern with me, I see something that I have a connection with and I have to have it. Anyway I asked the guy how much and he said $1.00. I didn't even blink a lash, I gave him a dollar and was off.
The inside tag: exlcusive for bueno, anyone ever heard of this brand?
As you can see the black was faded. I cut them off with scissors and replaced it with this cool chain I said that was on a shirt.
The results:
It fits over the shoulder or can be worn on the wrist.
On to the second reason this post is called Buried treasure. When I first bought this purse, I checked the main zipper, found nothing and put the purse away. I had been itching to fix the straps so I did and I opened the purse again and realized there was a smaller zipper. I could have sworned I check everything and even felt the bag but lo and behold what was inside the smaller zipper:
A ring, a beautiful emerald stone and gold band with an intricate design. I am not sure if it's real, my mom and grandma seem to think so but I don't really care if it is or not. The magical thing about this ring is that it actually fits, I'm wearing it as we speak.
I wonder who wore it and if they miss it because it seems special. And I guess that's a caution to you all, check your pockets and zippers before selling or donating your belongings. And if you have made flea market or thrift store purchases, check your pockets and zippers!!
