Nails of the Week: Essie bobbing for baubles

I love this nail polish, it's so pigmented and such a lovely color ( a cross between blue black gray).  I did two coats but you can get away with one.  It is currently out in stores right now under the Essie Winter 2011 Collection.

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette

Another hit from wet n wild.  I am loving this palette called comfort zone, a little late on the bandwagon for this palette which has been out for awhile.  All the shadows are pigmented and swatch beautifully.  My favorite is the definer e/s on the second column,  it's a metallic shadow that has multiple colors.

Revlon Lip Butters: the IT product

EDIT (1/10/12):
After months of use, I have to reveal my true thoughts on these.  Initial impressions for me was WOW, these are great and leave my lips glossy and are pigmented.  Unfortunately these also leave my lips chapped by the time the color wears off.  While I will continue to use these products, I won't be repurchasing which is sad because when I first put them on, I really like the way these look.  But I can't overlook the fact that my lips end up looking really bad.  And I know it's the formula of the lip butters because the chapped look thing happens with each one.  Maybe I will play around and see how they work with other lipsticks, lip liners, etc.  Let me know if any of you have gotten around the chapping issue.

These are really popular right now in the beauty community and for good reason.  It's a lipstick, gloss and moisturizer all in one with color!  My collection is growing slowly and I plan to pick up more in the future.  There are tons of colors and available in most drugstores and supermarkets.  I have Pink Truffle, Peach Parfait, Berry Smoothie and Cherry Tart.  My Favorite is Pink Truffle, it's a creamy nude that doesn't dry out the lips.

note: the swatches look very similar to me but they are distinct, my lips were not working with me :(

Wet n Wild I Heart Matte Palette

The hunt was on again for the newest Wet n Wild Palettes.  I have such a hard time finding their new products but these just landed in the East Coast, finally.  I literally searched for this palette in 10 or more Walgreens (only store selling them).  I was actually not going to buy these because I have other wnw palettes with similar or exact eyeshadows.  I got it because it's an all matte palette (it's funny though because the purple has shimmer!??!) and I love the heart in the name of the palette.

Like most wnw palettes, these eyeshadows are highly pigmented and for the most part, matte.  I know you can't tell in the pictures but I could swear that purple has glitter or shimmer in it.  Cannot wait to create looks with this palette, I Heart Matte,  I really do.

Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray

I was initially going to make a video on my dry shampoo hair experience but thought a post would be better.

I don't really like, scratch that, I don't really have the need to use dry shampoos but since this was a freebie product I thought I would experiment with it and see how it went.  I don't have the need because I wash my hair everyday (I won't go into the pros or cons of this right now).   If I let my hair go one day w/o washing, it turns into an oil slick.

Dry shampoos are similar to putting face powder or baby powder on your scalp.  It dries up the oils that makes your hair look greasy (not in the purposeful way either).

Before

After

So my thoughts on this particular dry shampoo:
-it had a floral scent, not my favorite floral scent but it wasn't bad
-hard to disperse once spraying on head, left gray residue (this might be due to my error)
-could actually see and feel the results (this is MUY important for me when using products)
While I liked that it dried up the oils, the gray cast on my hair was a negative.

Like I mentioned before, I don't really need dry shampoo and if I ever have the occasion where I am not near a shower for more than a day, I would probably tie my hair up or use face powder.  Remember this review is particular to this dry shampoo, If I use others, this review might change.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

So my new recently acquired nail polishes were Essie's Turquoise & Caicos and Mochachino.

After putting them on my nails I thought of Tiffany's (jewelry shop) green.  It's a beautiful green blue but need at least 2-3 coats for it to show up because it streaks. These 2 nail polishes work well together but look great separate as well.

3 coats no top coat
